Lemieux didn't follow Oscar's blueprint. Meh, Golovkin should have been dq'd anyway so it's whatever.

He could have moved and moved away then tried to steal each round with shoe-shine flurries in the last 20 seconds while holding his hands up as if he won the round.

His only chance was to stay down after ggg hit him in the floor and try to get a dq or a nc.

              Original title read:
"De La Hoya on What Lemieux Could Have Did"

I really hope this gets corrected and it reads
"De La Hoya on What Lemieux Could Have Done".

It looks very unprofessional, writing such a grammar blunder, to say the least.

No, we can't move on, that is why we are all here. To analyze the fight. Why come on here if you don't want to break things down? Please, stay off this site. I have never met a real boxing fan that don't break down all the angles and could haves and should haves. My wife and my buddies wife use to clown us because after the the fights finished they knew that was just the beginning. Can I get an Amen!

I come here to see what you guys think because I don't know enough boxing people in real life. I come here to hear what Oscar De La Hoya has to think. Is he not suppose to break down a fight???? Oh but I forgot I must not talk about it. I must keep moving on.

Ok, lets break down the fight.

Just as I predicted in a post last week, GGG did exactly as I said he would. Only thing I got wrong is that he used a snapping type jab instead of a pawing "keep them busy" jab. And snapping is just what he did with that jab. Watch the repays and you see Lemieux's hair snap like a whip just about every time GGG's jab connected. He used this style to establish his distance as well as show his respect for Lemieux's power. After the second round, it was apparent that this fight was in GGG's favor. But everything else I predicted was spot on. Gennady kept the jab going with follow up right hand shots to the head with regularity, until Lemieux started covering his face,....and when he did, that's when GGG landed the left hook to the body. I think he hit him two or three times with the left until he landed the hard rib shot that made Lemeiux take a knee. other than that it was clock work for Gennady. I was surprised that he didn't get Lemeiux out of there sooner. Yeah it's easy for Bernard and Oscar to sit back and criticize GGG's performance, but at the same time, they weren't in the ring fighting the man either. I will give Lemieux credit for one thing though, he had the presence and legs to get out of several bad situations where any other fighter would have stood there and taken a vicious shot that GGG threw that Lemieux dodged. I still dont think I've seen GGG hit a man with a %100 power shot as of yet.
