I guess it was a grammatical error when they said they'd fight anyone from 154-168 too.

They meant "except Ward at 164".

My bad. That makes them look much better!
    No actually. 154-168 encompasses 164.

    He didn't say he'd fight anyone at 154, 160 and 168.

    Like I said, grammar.

It wasn't easy to find cause its mostly newer stuff, due to Gggs booming popularity. Sanchez is also not always consistent, but he's a boxing trainer

If GGG lands solidly on Ward, there a solid chance that's been one.

What people have to take into account, when GGG does move up to 168, he'll likely hit a little harder.

Maybe not, but that's scary thought.
I'm sure GGG's power will be felt by Ward. I just think Ward's boxing ability will get him a decision. I wouldn't rule out a GGG KO though.

Again, thanks for clearing that up. They weren't quite clear that they were going to be complete b1tches and ask certain fighters for catchweights but I'm glad you corrected my grammatical misjudgement!

Well the purpose of catchweights is to bring 2 fighters from different divisions together when making a fight (neither fighter has fought in the other's division). Often that catchweight is waved if there is financial incentive involved. If Ward could provide that financial incentive that Chavez/Froch brought, well then maybe he'd wave the catchweight.

I don't agree with asking for the catchweight but as a fighter, why agree to a term if there's no monetary reward there.

I mean I like GGG but y'all giving him a pass on fighting technical guys is disgusting, so what if they're not that exciting they're good boxers. So should we just look at one sided beat downs all the time like Stevens( who didn't earn it) , Monore(really)and Lemieux was and as we all know Lee and Cotto/Canelo are going too be granted those are for titles but still.

Face it guys GGG is the best Middleweight in the world and at 154 or 168 or even 175 he doesn't have many people who can give him hard fight: Lara, Andrade, Chunky, Ward, Kolavev and maybe Stevenson that's it.
Lara may of got robbed, but he lost.

He doesn't deserve it because he hasn't done **** to deserve hopping around weight classes picking champions out to fight.

              That's not how it works.

And GGG skunks him. You all would say Lara was too small, although both would come in fighting at 170.

God damn it, Ward never received a Catchweight offer from GGG.

The original offer, with HBO, was for 168. Ward turned it down.

Wards offer was at 168. GGG turned it down.

              Easy stuff.

They've never asked anyone for a ****ing Catchweight.

No matter how many times you people repeats it.

              It never happen.

Lof mentioned that to Rafael, Dan reported it.

You haters use it to criticize GGG.

It was an off the cuff statement, one of many.

Ward offer a fight for next year, GGG has plans. They rightly said no.

Ward once turned down GGG, because of legal issues.

Get that through your thick heads.

This is how I know you have no clue what you're talking about.

The WBC won't sanction a 154 fight as MW. Only 155 to 160. And only if agreed upon with both sides.

They may use it as a negotiating tool. GGG could make 157 again.

                    But they don't have to.

If they try for a 75/25 split, it may go to purse bid.

And no, none of this will matter, cause Cotto is losing to Canelo.

154.1 is above 154 tho...lol...and a purse bid means ggg only gets 25% Mr. HowIKnowYouHaveNoClue...

ggg surely wants to avoid a purse bid at all cost unless he's fine with only 25% when he could get 80% fightin anyone else...

and there is no strict rule that i purse bid mean any weight..it could be an agree even if there is a purse bid..

boxing nothing is set n stone..
