Real shame, rooting for him. Referees have been tolerating rabbit punches much more in this era, might see a needed crack down on that.

You could tell the Ref was very confused, I think if it was not for Williams corner protesting as much as they did, he was going to let them get the gloves fixed up and continue. That would have been a disastrous decision.

THIS IS THE REASON I H.A.T.E. "BOXING FANS"

So the same ref who was sensitive as **** about Khan pushing Peterson, ( which is the only reason why he had a split decision loss instead of a unanimous decision win) now allows rabbit punches with only 1 point taken and no DQ and now a boxer is fighting for his life. SMMFH.

Very true. Idk if the rabbit punching in this fight was ultimately the problem either obviously, but rabbit punching is never taken THAT serious. Nut shots get more attention & penalties & while the immediate damage is easy to access the long term damage with rabbit punching could be far worse. Definitely should be more attention put towards it regardless of its guilt in this particular unfortunate situation.

Fight was filled with rabbit punching!!

I watched the fight. Williams hit Colon in the back of the head the entire fight. The ref did nothing. EVERY time Colon went down in this fight, it was from a punch to the back of the head.

The ref was terrible. Not only wasn't each rabbit punch penalized, but he took only 1 point from Williams for the extreme rabbit punch. He took 2 points from Colon for a low blow. The low blow didn't even come close to the potential life danger of the rabbit punch.

The loss should be overruled & no contest imo. He punched him very hard in the back of the head for the firs knock-down. Williams punched him hard TWICE MORE after that in the back of the head for the 2nd, 3rd knockdown.

                    Protest.
