Pretty sure Colon won't have a boxing career after this. Pretty tragic, I just hope he pulls through OK.
Yeah his career is most likely over. Once a neurosurgeon opens the skull to work on you he isnt gonna want you getting hit in the head. This is very unfortunate. I pray that he recovers fast and has as much of a full recovery as possible.

He is now fighting to stay alive.

The 23-year old prospect from Orocovis, Puerto Rico was rushed to Inova Fairfax Hospital shortly after his 9th round disqualification loss to Williams at Eagle Bank Arena on George Mason University campus in Fairfax, ******ia. A punch to the back of the skull left him dizzy in round seven, having suffered a pair of knockdowns two rounds later.

Is there any boxer who's been in this sorta position thats alright today that I'm not recalling?

Mago had a much longer wait before he finally got to the ER. Sounds like they got Colon in there fairly fast, which is always a good sign toward fuller recovery. But now isn't the time for thsi type talk. Better to wish the man well and hope he makes a full recovery. Hate to see this type thing happen, in any sport. Prayers for the man and his family.

Damn sad thing to see. When I saw the fight live I admit I thought he was milking it a bit. Now I feel bad for assuming the worst. All the best wishes for this young man.

Yea Taylor's situation wasn't quite as serious as Colon's.

And yea Colon's career is for sure over at this point. Even if he had some miracle recovery & walked out of the hospital tomorrow somehow I can't imagine a commission would ever give him a license.

Yep. Minutes for sure count with these types of injuries.

Sad news and on the same day where big PPV at MSG and they put up a website to help give money to Abdusalamov this happens. Hope Colon doesn't have a similar tragedy.
