GGG tickets go for much more than $16Ward may not be able to sell 10,000 tickets to his fights for $16 each the way GGG did against Lemieux, but Ward has accomplished more at 168 than GGG has accomplished at 160. You say that Ward has not appealled nationally or globally, yet Ward made a larger purse in his last fight on BET than Golovkin made on his PPV tonight and Ward has made a hell of a lot more money in his career than Golovkin.
Ward would be giving GGG a chance to prove himself by fighting Ward. Ward doesn't have to prove anything to anyone with his record.Comment

I think Lemeiux was yelling at the ref at that knee attack. A GGG hook or cross to the fight is a serious deal people don't realize it. It's basically eating a shot with guarding. HBO fooling the world. It was a late punch but I give David Lemieux a lot of respect for not trying to milk it. He knew the punch wasn't the reason he went down, it was the body shot.
He could have easily pulled an Andre Dirrell and milked it until the ref stopped the fight but, unlike Dirrell, he actually showed heart and didn't ***** out. Dirrell's career hasn't been the same since that Oscar winning performance, both inside the ring, and the way he's perceived by the fans outside.Comment

I don't see why people are fussing over Golovkin hitting Lemieux on the canvas or the stoppage because it wouldn't have made a difference. Golovkin was going to win either way. Anybody who watched the fight know who dished out the most punishment and it wasn't Lemieux. Heck, he took an even worse beating than the one Angulo took from Canelo. David was dropped, eating hard jabs and hooks, had a bloody nose, and was about to get cornered in the 8th round and some people are fussing over the stoppage? Ridiculous!
You can't just fight back and expect to keep on going. It has to make a difference and seeing how Lemieux was still eating hard shots while hardly doing anything with his own, he clearly wasn't. The stoppage is understandable to me. It'd be different if he still had a chance but he obviously didn't.
Great performance by Golovkin. I don't regret buying it. It was far from a boring fight. Hope that the winner of the Cotto-Canelo match with fight him next.Last edited by Mr. Punch-Out!!; 10-18-2015, 12:07 AM.Comment
