Margarito is Overrated times 10

Margarito is so overrated. What has this guy ever done? He beat a very green Cintron who had never faught anyone, he beat a washed up 6 heads who just got killed by Mayorga and he was losing before the big punch, and he just got beat by Santos. Even if you think he won the fight, he still wasnt impressive at all and he was hurt several times by the feather fisted Santos. People love this guy just because he is Mexican and he brings it every fight but his skills are not great, his power is overrated, and he has no defense.

I have always thought that Floyd would dominate him and make him look ******. I have also always thought that Floyd would even beat him at his own game. I bet anything that if they fought toe to toe that Floyd would get the best of him. You know how Floyd fights in the pocket? I bet if he did that to Margarito then he would tag him alot and block all of Margarito shots.

I honestly believe he is hype and that Zab would Knock him out right now. I would love to see Zab fight him if Floyd doest. I bet Zab ends the hype on this guy.

What has he done? Someone please tell me. Give me one great win on his resume. Are you going to count Cintron who was green, never beat anyone, and looked like crap against a shot Teddy Reid? 6 Heads who was washed up, overrated and Mayorga killed twice. And again this guy couldnt beat Santos and was hurt several times. If Floyd had that same fight with Santos then everyone would be ripping Floyd and saying he sucks.

The only thing he will have on Floyd is that Mayweather would way 146 for the fight and he would way 166 but that still wouldnt save this dude. It would be a old style Sugar Ray Robinson ass whooping

You and many others who think like you may be right, however it is undoubtedly that he deserves a shot. If no one will give him the shot then how is he supposed to step into the light?

Spinks ran towards semi-retired Miguel Angel Gonzalez than Margarito.

Margarito deserves the shot, yes he might get humiliated, but the fact is this fight has many variables and it needs to be made to erase any doubts. If you could just judge all fighters without the fights actually taking place, then what would be the point of fighters ever facing each other u could just say floyd beats the entire world and hed never have to fight again.

I'll say again, Margarito is no castillo but he is Big, tough, strong, punches hard and technically sound enough for everyone at welterweight to avoid him. If people didnt feel he was a threat everyone and their mom would have fought him at welterweight already.

Zab is not a focused fighters and does dumb things but I think anyone can recognize that he is easily one of the top 5 most talented guys in boxing, if not 1 in overall pure talent.

I didnt see the fight yet but I have read alot of articles so far and alot of them are from writers who rip Zab and dont like him and most of them said that the Zab who fought Floyd wouldve beat almost anyone in boxing and wouldve beat everyone at 147. Is that true? I cant judge because I havent seen it but I think when Zab brings his A game then he can beat anyone except for Mayweather.

Thats why Im confused by some on here saying that Floyd wasnt all that impressive because Zab did well but the media people said Floyd was even more impressive because that Zab wouldve beat alot of fighters. You tell me what you think

he is not unbeaten. but he has improved. out of anybody out there this guy is the hardest fight for mayweather and thats why people want to see this fight. he has some good skill. he can beat many front runners who other people are asking to figh PBF. Cotto, Hatton and zab will get beat by margarito, he has skill but just not a big name. Margarito can also give de la hoya some trooble.

I give Zab credit for what he did,but I wouldnt give him more than 4 rounds.The thing about Zab is:

he's a lefty
hes gifted with speed
hes gifted with power

and he still loses to baldomir.To me Zab is the definition of hype.Yes he's looked good against lesser opposition,but how many fighters wouldnt?.About the best I can say about Zab is that he KO'ed spinks the second time around, but even Mayorga who i saw you ripping on(not that I like mayo),Ko'ed forrest right?

So to answer your question do I think Zab would beat many other fighters out there,for example Margarito,by fighting the way he fought those 3,4 rounds? I can see Zab hurting some guys,maybe wobbling some guys early on,but these arent 3-4 rounders, if Baldomir can rock zab simply by making it to the later rounds and not being discouraged,Margarito would destroy Zab man.Cotto can move up now and KO Zab,even IF Zab hurt cotto all cotto would have to do is make it out of those early rounds and start walking Zab down.

I think larry merch said it best on fight night when he said, Zab has a style that depends on his athletic ability,If you can overcome some of that,like baldomir was able to by just having seemingly a concrete chin,you can get to zab.

I agree, Im from the UK and if it wasn't for this forum i would not have a clue who he is. His record aint even that good...ive been saying this for a while...Mayweather v Hatton!!! not Mayweather v Margarito!

I agree with you guys too. He's a good fighter that deserves a shot at the rock but, he's not what most people make him out to be. IMO, Maywhether will make him look ridiculous in the ring...then again PBF can make anyone look ****** in there.
