Didn't see the fight, nor did I know that he was fighting today. I've seen Colon a couple times and was very enthusiastic about this guy. His boxing career doesn't matter now though - my thoughts are with him and hope he fully recovers.

He's a young guy in the early stage of his career. Fighting 5+ times a year is pretty standard.

I'm not a god guy, but sending positive thoughts this brothers way all the same. Awful situation, hope the situation ends in the best possible way for his loved ones at this point.

That is terrible news, hope everything works out for the guy. People talking about he was faking or whatever but the Punches to the back of the head was very clear and Williams did it multiple times during this fight.

Now i don't think Williams was doing it on Purpose, a lot of it was Colon turning his head but regardless taking hits to the back of the head like that is extremely Dangerous. That ref allowed things to get out of control pretty much like he always does and I hope this time it didn't cause a young promising fighter his career or even worse HIS LIFE!

Brain bleeding is actually more common than people think. Surgery combined with several months, maybe a year, of recovery and he should be back in the ring. Also, I'm not so sure it was because of this fight in particular. This guy fought 3 times in a 2 month period from August to October. You shouldn't have that many fights close together like that. You need time to recover.

Anyways I wish him the best and hope he's able to return.

I understand coming up you tend to fight at a frequent pace. But it's not like this guy was ko'ing guys in the 1st 2rds. He was going rounds, taking punishment. Last 5 fights he went 9,4,2,9 & 6 rounds. All in 2015.

and agree 100% with your 2nd paragraph.

yeah i get what you're saying. some guys intentionally wail on the back but in certain cases guys are turning mid action and the follow thru on the punch lands in sync with the other guy ducking low inside or soemthing. not hugging/wrestling with their arms tied. im not really talking specific moments in this fight just in general.

although i do see a lot of guys wail on the backside of the head when they're tied up and one guy is just wailing away behind the ear.

Some posters on here were saying he quit.
