It was always a decent win at best.

Alexander is a small welter who fights on the outside with no power...he was literally the perfect opponent for Khan.

Alexander was never a top fighter and he's a faded version of even that at this point.

Alexander was never that good. He looked bad every time he stepped up.

I didn't think it looked that good at the time. Alexander was a perfect style matchup and had never reestablished himself at welterweight following the Porter loss.

It's a decent win against a decent fighter. Not enough to proclaim Khan some top 5 welterweight like so many wanted to at the time.

Its hard not to downgrade a W over an opponent losing to this caliber a guy. I think thats just sorta is how it is. The reality in boxing is ever changing based on new info presented as we find things out when guys fight. This doesn't quite mean that Martinez woulda beaten Alexander if he'd had fought him back when Khan did, but it clearly lowers the value of a W over Alexander in the past & the more recent the W the more it decreases in value.

Maybe the one sided boxing lesson Khan gave Alexander sent Alexander further down hill. Still Khan hasn't done much but brag since being KOed by Garcia. If Khan expects many fans to believe he is the number 1 pound for pound guy he needs to prove it against world rated welterweights. So far all he has done is brag about how scared Mayweather and Pacquiao are to fight him. I don't think Khan is even in the top 100 pound for pound until he beats a top 5 welterweight if he can.

Yes there is hype surrounding Khan, but for a fighter with 3 losses still able to generate hype...means something!!

We can't really degrade Khan's win when GGG's best wins are against Macklin and Stevens and both were beaten pretty easily by Heiland and N'Dam.

Sometimes a guy takes a loss and falls off.
