Same thing with JCC jr, except he was just as bad about it.
They are exceptions. They have the fanbase so they can get fighters to come in at the weight they want. Same as Manny fighting at 144.

We all get why GGG wants to fight Floyd-he sees it as an easy win for big money. EVERY fighter loves those kind of fights.

I'm not mad at you. You're the one who called me an idiot last post and implied it in this post. If you can't carry a discussion without resorting to personal insults, it's on you.

And I have no idea what you're talking about, Cotto and Mayweather have been getting opponents at CWs specifically because they're big draws.

Ward isn't at 172 just because he had his last fight there. he hasn't given up his SMW belts.
Ward is coming of a long layoff and came in at 171.8. 172 is probably closer to his weight now than 168. There are many people who don't think he can make 168 easily anymore.
In any case, if you're outraged at MW vs. GGG but not at GGG vs. Ward, that's called double standards as weight difference is the same.

Getting a fight with Floyd when you are the MW champ (yes I know floyd is the champ at 154 but we know he is still a ww) is silly. No Kovalev isn't dreaming of going to 154 for Floyd-don't make ****** points like this.

You want people to look at GGG and judge his actions honestly. All I am asking is you do the same thing as well.

GGG wants the big money fight over tougher "dare to be great fights". I think he should be called the same thing as other fighters that poster feel do the same thing.

        Is that wrong?

If you think GGG shouldn't fight Mayweather then Ward shouldn't fight GGG.

However I still stand by my words - Mayweather is such a huge draw that even SMW-LHW would try to make the weight (most likely fail, but still).

I don't mean to offend you, but most people who hate GGG do not look at his actions honestly.
What he honestly is a 33 year old fighter whose prime is quickly running out. He wants to fight high reward fights since he was fighting absolute trash in Europe due to promotional issues, and is only now getting good fighters to fight him. Cotto is 34 and already talked about retirement. GGG has 2-3 more elite years after which he'll be considered old.

Ward is not a "dare to be great fight". It's just not. It's an extremely high risk and very low reward fight. He would be fighting a guy that outweighs him by 10 lbs, at a weight that's heavier than what he's always fought at and for almost no reward since Andre Ward is not popular anymore.
He literally has nothing to gain and everything to lose.

See all my posts to you-not once did I call you an idiot. when did I insult you?

Are referring to me calling your point about Kov going down to 154 for a Floyd fight ******? If so, I think it is ****** to suggest Kov would go down 21 lbs to fight Floyd.

The only people who think he can't make 168 are GGG fans that hope they do not fight because they think Ward beats GGG.

Its not about outrage. Its judging the actions of a fighter that claims unifying the MW title is his goal, who then expresses a desire to fight out a guy in a lower weight while avoiding a guy at the larger weight.

I didn't insult you. "dare to be great fights" are high risk and no reward. So it was odd to see you type that. That's why I asked the question.

Whether GGG will take this wonderful opportunity is yet to be seen. He missed out on Lara who was there for the taking, which must upset GGG as he is a cherry picker and that would have been a great cherry pick type win. There is no way Lara could run away from GGG around the ring or win a decision with that fighting style.
This is too easy at this point.

GGG selecting Floyd as an opponent would be the same choice Floyd would make -- a pure financial decision.

Ward brings nothing to to the table. He's financially irrelevant. He's too large for it to even mean anything to any divisional rankings and quite frankly too inactive for it to mean anything for p4p rankings either. It's just a dumb fight from every perspective.

The best fight we could see Golovkin in right now is the one he is having. Lemeiux is the real second-best middleweight in the world. Then after Canelo beats Cotto.

Ward needs to concentrate on 175.

Floyd fans who need a new brotha need to look at Crawford instead of Ward. Ward only half brotha anyway and barely ever fights.

Haters gonna hate. The Ward nut huggers just hate the fact that their boy aint getting any attention, while GGG is soaking up the lime light. I can't wait for GGG to unify the belts, so he can go after Ward and shut the haters up for good. I hope he beats him senseless and ****** like he did that mouthy disrespectful a hole Stevens. He will make him pay with pain, embarrassment, and humiliation, just like Stevens. Some folks just hate to see GGG finally getting the fame he deserves. Namely Wardtards who act like jealous little girls.

He was asked by reporters if he would fight him.
When asked if he thinks boxing’s biggest star of this era would consider fighting him if the undefeated five-division champion comes back, the Kazakh knockout artist said, “I hope. This is boxing – a very short sport life. Why not? This is a big chance for us.”
