Montiel looked good in spots Selby won majority of the rounds

Gradovich was always an extremely limited stiff, getting his title doesn't prove much IMO.
He wasn't supposed to look bad here. This was a cherry-pick gone wrong.
Imagine if Montiel wasn't so old and shot. He would've layed out Selby tonight. Imagine if that actually been a better fighter and there are plenty of better fighters in the division.
      "The Welsh Mayweather"
Montiel looked like the slicker guy in there.
'High Class Operator' - what's that for you? For me it is not elite.I have Selby as top 10 at his weight. Gradovich was thought to be top 10 at the time. Selby made him look crude. My point is fighters have good nights and bad nights. Tonight was at best a bad night for Selby compared to expectations, at worst it might mean that he is, as you say, just not top level in his division. I say it is too early to tell based off of one under-performance.
As a comparison to how expectations pan out, look at Frampton's first Stateside fight against the Mexican kid. He was supposed to walk that. He did eventually close it out comfortably, but not before serious early problems. Nobody saw that and his opponent was in with a chance right to the end. So is Frampton now a crap fighter?

You got some perspective. Some of these other guys got an axe to grind.

And this is why i think Nonito would be competitive or dominate in 122/126 still, he lost to Rigo and Walters(who arguably beats anyone at 126) and he was competitive with Walters in the early parts.

Nope. Selby will continue to disappoint if he actually fights good opposition because he's just a limited ass fighter. He should bottle it and stay in the UK. Hes not world class. On sky they were hyping up that bum Warrington for him. See they get it, thats a good place to start, thats his level.

On Frampton, well, one of his best wins, Chris Avalos, just got completely destroyed by an okay guy in Valdez. Quigg just blasted Kiko out too. So yeah, don't think that highly of Frampton either.

That's how I had it. I think there's a lot of Mayweather fans on here who are just in a vacuum - don't know what to do with themselves, so they lash out at a fighter with a tag like the Welsh Mayweather (which in fairness is ridiculous not to mention lazy)
