This fact has made trying to inhabit the same space as a Pacquiao fan very difficult. Once someone is elevated to Manny's level there's just no having a reasonable discussion with some of his fans....

yes manny should move on and retire, there's nowhere to go but down after the mayweather fight. There's no need for a rematch, no shoulder was injured (pride maybe), nothing happened outside of the laws of physics except someone got out boxed. The reaction to this fact has been bizarrely entertaining, let me see if i'm getting all of the convolutions right:

step 1. (god delivers the hated mayweather into the hands of the righteous and sinless manny pacquiao)-------------->step 2. (manny declares he won the fight even though he knows he lost, who would disagree he's manny and mayweather is satan)------------->step 3. (manny gets interviewed by someone who isn't thirsty for kool aid, max kellerman, who snaps his ass back to reality. "dude you lost")-------------->step 4. (manny goes to the post-fight press conference where everyone thought he lost, but he moronically tries to claim he still won even with an injured shoulder)--------------->step 5. (fan support is triggered and a herd of mentally unbalanced people clog up youtube and boxing forums with reasons why manny actually won, "please watch the fight in slow motion, manny is too fast for normal speed, he won")------------->step 6. (mayweather used an iv, therefore it's obvious, manny won with one arm, while not landing on a two armed steroid abuser)-------------->step 7. (manny finally reveals that god told him he would lose the fight)------------->step 8. (manny also reveals that he was injured during the 4th round of the fight with floyd)----------------->step 9. (somehow manny's fans accept all of the startling contradictions and continue to spam forums with wet and sloppy tears claiming manny won and was ripped off by a steroid cheat whose abilities were supernaturally increased (a component needed to beat pacquiao) so he could outpoint a fighter that was ko'd 3 times)--------------->step 10. (hope and pray the mainstream media pick up on the whining about peds so they can invalidate the entire career of floyd mayweather, including the real, but painful loss on may 2nd)

He does need to forget Mayweather but maybe he needs to forget boxing too.

He can never beat Floyd anyway, it's just a stylistic nightmare for Manny. It can't be helped. Of course he would like a rematch and the money is still good but he can't win, never could and never will.

Manny is still great in his own right though and i wouldn't wanna see him losing to fighters who wouldn't have been good enough to lace his gloves at one point, that would be sad to see. He should fight a good top 5 fighter and see what he has left.

On the plus side for Manny, when people look back at the Floyd fight, most people will just remember it as a snooze-fest and not living up to the hype rather than talk about who won and lost. I personally thought the fight was ok because anybody with a half decent knowledge of the sport could predict Floyd will Floyd him to a UD as he always does.

Even if Manny had like 85% of what he used to, he probably still wrecks the rest of 140-147 but i'm not even sure he has that, we'll see, maybe he has a couple of good fights in him. Actually i believe both him and Floyd are shot, it's just Floyd's style and IQ in the ring allow him to disguise it a bit better and he can "old man" his opponents and get a win.

You dont need to out think Manny though. Manny doesn't cut the ring well, and he doesn't really trap u. Look at the fight against Chris Algieri. If Chris has more experience, the fight would have been closer. Now throw Khan into the mix, Khan is a lot more season than Algieri. Manny tends to follow the fighter around and once he gets tired doing that and stop for that one second, thats when he usually gets clipped with his hands down.

What are you implying? How does any fighter look against opponent's who don't want to fight? Manny is a complete fighter. He WILL hit you regardless if you stand in front of him, or if you try and move. And last time I checked, Khan is no SRL and is not a complete fighter. He will never be an A Level fighter. Manny would beat him up.

Most of the time Manny will just chase that guy around then Manny will usually stop for one second and thats usually when he gets hit by his opponent. Happens all the time. Watch the fight with Algieri. Most of Algieri's punches that landed clean on Manny is when Manny is coming in chasing Chris. Khan has a lot more experience than Algieir. I can see Khan turning this into a boring fight and maybe even stealing the rounds from Manny.

Good post BUT...GGG is too BIG for Manny. Canelo is too BIG for Manny. Roidquez knows he will not be able to cheat this time, so that fight will never happen. He's a coward and doesn't have the confidence to take another beating, like the 4th fight. The only logical fight is a rematch with Floyd. Manny deserves a rematch for obvious reasons and findings. Floyd ran into retirement because he is being exposed for cheating. He will not use VADA for that reason and neither will Roidquez.

As I've stated, no one looks good against moving targets, NOONE. Manny is a complete fighter and an ATG for many reasons. He has also turned into an A Level defensive fighter and this is where he beats most guys right now. He is getting smarter and more technical by the fight. His ring IQ is something that these young guns have never seen before. He is actually out-thinking his opponents now. He did the same thing to Floyd. It was beautiful to watch. And I told everyone that what he did against Algeri was more impressive than meets the eye. Algeri won one round, which was the 5th round. He showed us in that round what he was capable of. The future is bright for the kid. You see what he was able to do vs Khan and what Manny was able to do, right? There are levels to this game for a good reason, kid. Manny is A Level. Khan is B Level. Get me? He gets KO'ed. Why do you think he just walked out of negotiations for no reason? He knows what's coming.
