Every news release on this site is about comments from a fighter or a manager. These comments give you an idea of potential future matchups.
He did. But when confronted he also told Ward to his face that it wasn't him flexing his muscles in front of the cameras and that it was the trainer.
February 2015:
Where are these years ago statements coming from?
I'm just repeating myself at this point. You're still acting like Golovkin's position was the same at the beginning of the year and before to now and I'm trying to avoid typing an essay because this horse has been beaten to death. Like I've been saying for years, the Ward fight can happen, Ward need simply get the ball rolling and actually start fighting.Last edited by SplitSecond; 10-14-2015, 01:15 PM.Comment

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but just because something doesnt happen on YOUR timetable, that doesnt mean it wont happen at some point.
Truth is, Neither K2, GGG, HBO, or most boxing fans care who you and Ward's other 12 internet fans think GGG should fight next. What you SHOULD be doing is helping your boy Ward find a way to be relevant again.......Comment

Overthinking this bro. First off, Canelo offered the catchweight way before negotiations even started so if anyone would be backtracking it would be him.
Secondly, it's not about whether or not GGG should unify, what weight Ward is at now or who is ducking who. It's about saying out of his own mouth that he is ready for anyone from 154-168 and then backtracking on it. Ward called their bluff and that's the end of it.
Now they can go their separate ways and do what they do.Comment

He clearly meant that the weight difference is too much, which is the case.Comment

People still bringing up the 154-168 thing?
I feel really bad that you were suckered into believing a bit of hype generated by his team
Most normal observers treat it as bs headlines to generate hype. You lot really believed it
Poor guysComment

He wasn't referring to the weight diffference, he was just saying he didn't want to talk about Ward in that interview, which was supposed to be about his upcoming fight with Geale.Comment

No you don't, you love Floyd and Ward, fanboy. Never seen you call them out on "Cotto is undefeated, PAC fought him at a CW", " I want my opponents at their comfortable weight", "HW champ by 32", " Can beat Klitschko", "ready for top LHWs".Comment
