But when Ward says "I can beat Sergey Kovalev" that means he needs 2 or 3 tune-ups at 175, then maybe ....
and when Ward says he can win a heavyweight title, its merely an "aspirational statement" that should be given no weight lol

He did. But when confronted he also told Ward to his face that it wasn't him flexing his muscles in front of the cameras and that it was the trainer.

      February 2015:

Where are these years ago statements coming from?
Like I said, only until very recently has the horizon broadened for Golovkin. Only with the recent making of Cotto/Canelo, Wards comeback and GBP allowing Lemoo to fight Golovkin have these fights become closer to reality and even then, Ward still needs tune-ups.

I'm just repeating myself at this point. You're still acting like Golovkin's position was the same at the beginning of the year and before to now and I'm trying to avoid typing an essay because this horse has been beaten to death. Like I've been saying for years, the Ward fight can happen, Ward need simply get the ball rolling and actually start fighting.

You guys need to let this go already. Ward isnt even a SMW anymore. He's a LHW.

Truth is, Neither K2, GGG, HBO, or most boxing fans care who you and Ward's other 12 internet fans think GGG should fight next. What you SHOULD be doing is helping your boy Ward find a way to be relevant again.......
Ward negotiation threads are generating more traffic than the actual fight thread for this weekend. Keep trying to convince yourself.

Secondly, it's not about whether or not GGG should unify, what weight Ward is at now or who is ducking who. It's about saying out of his own mouth that he is ready for anyone from 154-168 and then backtracking on it. Ward called their bluff and that's the end of it.

Now they can go their separate ways and do what they do.
Lol at this guy, can't believe I once thought this was a decent poster. Justifying Floyd's CW demand by an offer Canelo made 2 years earlier lololol. People grow dumba$$, esp younger ones.

I guess you havent realised that GGGs english sucks and uses the same 25-30 sentences/phrases to answer to any question possible in the universe.

He clearly meant that the weight difference is too much, which is the case.

People still bringing up the 154-168 thing?

I feel really bad that you were suckered into believing a bit of hype generated by his team

Most normal observers treat it as bs headlines to generate hype. You lot really believed it

                  Poor guys

"Andre is too much for me. Not today."

He wasn't referring to the weight diffference, he was just saying he didn't want to talk about Ward in that interview, which was supposed to be about his upcoming fight with Geale.

No you don't, you love Floyd and Ward, fanboy. Never seen you call them out on "Cotto is undefeated, PAC fought him at a CW", " I want my opponents at their comfortable weight", "HW champ by 32", " Can beat Klitschko", "ready for top LHWs".
