I am sure he could KO a plethora of crap heavyweights but a world class heavyweight like Povetkin?

      Nah.

I reckon at his absolute optimum he could probably beat someone like Sam Peter when he was around the top of the division. He was just so ordinary I think Golovkin could outbox him. And probably hurt him a bit too.

I would buy the GGG-Taishan Dong ppv though.
This is what I'm getting at. Let's say some believe he can't hurt a TOP HW, but I am positive Gennady could take out your average out of shape HW out.

I can respect that. That is what I'm trying to get at as well. I think his power and talent translates into the HW division.

People forget that GGG is not by any stretch a large MW. At 5'10" he is a little below average.

Same height as Mike Tyson. And Golovkin hits HARDER than Tyson did.

A talent like Gennady with the kind of power that he has, could win a title at HW without a doubt. BUT I do think the height/reach of guys like Wilder would pose a problem until Gennady manages to get inside.

ISHIDA. That's one of the reasons I created this thread.

No one here can tell me that he doesn't beat Ishida at HW.
