              Why would anyone bid against themselves to feature this guy?

                    Kirkland is his own worst enemy. Dude is wasting his career. All these long layoffs because he backs out fights gets into it with multiple promoters, managers and his trainers. He is a nutcase and everyone says he is difficult to work with so that's why fights keep falling through the cracks. Waste of talent.
