I don't think there's any question that Kovalev has more tools in his belt than Stevenson.

As everyone knows he's left hand happy but I think another weakness is his stamina....

Against Fonfara he's was in cruise control but then in the 2nd half of the fight Fonfara drops him and makes him far more uncomfortable. Ok that's just one fight and Fonfara is very tough but even against Bika I thought his stamina was suspect, he started getting hit with good shots but good for him he was fighting a super middle.

True, but Bika is known to give pretty much everyone problems.

I thought the same thing after watching Stevens' last fight. If Stevens doesn't hurt Kovalev early, I think Kovalev sets a few traps with crafty boxing and takes him out in the late rounds.

I think Stevenson got lucky with a shot against a past-it Dawson.

He wouldn't even be a top 10 contender in the 80s LHW division. I don't think he'd even win a title in the mid to late 90s LHW division.

Emmanuelle Steward was high on him which says something about his chances.

On a side note, a person I wonder about is Darnell Boone. He's a journeyman that gave the top three fighters in or near that division a difficult fight (Kovalev, Stevenson and Ward). I wonder what was missing from his skill set that prevented him from being a star.

                  Bingo.

His stamina is the main issue, I think a decent body puncher could cause him major problems.

That said, him vs Kovalev was and still is a 50 - 50 fight, I don't care what others say.

He's one dimensional, that might be true to some extent. But it's a perfect dimension against Kovalev, Krusher still leaves himself open for the left counter..

                  Very intriguing fight.
