And some people still think that Gennady will accept a catchweight to fight his mandatory against the winner of Cotto - Canelo when he considers fighting for a title at the proper weight to be a matter of respect.

Sure. Look at the Provodnikov Alvarado faceoff. Much less anticipated fight than this but way better faceoff. Golovkin would be much scarier speaking his native and forcing himself 1 or 2 serious looks. I understand that his character is not "the bad guy". But nor Provodnikov's, and watch how good that faceoff was.

          Both have a high KO%: 91% vs 86%

It may end up being, who can withstand his opponents punches better will win this.
I don't think he was impressed. He was saying it was too easy, the way N'Dam was dropping. He didn't to be disrespectful and say outright that it was definitely that N'Dam just has a bad chin, but I think that's what he was trying to say. You got Quillin dropping this guy 6 times, and Lemieux dropping him 4 times. That is 10 knock downs vs the only two top 10 MW's he fought. It's clear that GGG is not impressed by N'Dam. He just did not want to say his honest opinion because he didn't want to be disrespectful, he kinda left it up in the air. But if you read between the lines, you could tell he really felt "that was too easy because you were not facing an opponent with a very good chin".

11 knock downs from 2011-2015, that is just not good at all. That does not look like a good chin any way you slice it. That's like the amount of KD's Khan has suffered his entire boxing career, amateurs included.

Part of GGG's charm is his broken English. But I wish they had a translator during moments like this so he can express what he really feels. Instead of just leaving it up to the fans to interpret.

I guess it's too late for that now.

GGG should just speak his native language and subtitles should be used, it's just hard to understand what he really means.

For some reason though I find Abel Sanchez more and more irritating by the day.

Curtis Stevens is much more limited than David Lemieux. He is short-armed, neither is he as quick or powerful. It took eight rounds to stop Stevens. I don't buy the junk that Golovkin carries anybody. If he could KO everybody in the first round, he would do it. It would nurture a more fearsome reputation than he has.

Lemieux's performance will apparently shock many people. I won't be surprised, though. Lemieux will look like the bully, at times. His ring IQ and boxing skills are underestimated and I see a Lemieux TKO.
