The Berto fight was meant as a jab plus straight right at khan. Khan has done nothing but duck strong opposition since he started calling Floyd out while on the way there hand Floyd has unified belts with maidana and PAC at 147 and unified with canelo at 154.
In all that time, not only does khan not have a single belt at 147 but he didn't even attempt to position himself as Floyds mandatory for any of his many belts.
As if that wasn't bad enough khan could have fought brook for the IBF title, brook called him out when they both didn't have a fight, a fight that if khan won, would have given him the pedigree, fame, and world champion status to stand on when calling out Floyd. Instead he blatantly ducked brook and fought Chris Alfieri. You get it? Floyd was busy fighting his greatest rival and unifying titles and this clown was ducking his own rival and avoiding championship bouts,yet somehow this clown thinksthat he done enough to deserve Floyd?
Berto is a two time champion at welter and tried hard three times to get Floyd and list at the final hurdle,khan didn't even try and ain't never been champion at welter.
Thats the point Floyd was making by fighting Berto, he could a fought anyone but specifically chose Berto, khans friend and training mate, hence the Berto fight is a direct jab at khan.
I'm not gonna stand here and say Berto and Guerrero are more talented or better than khan, but it is a fact that they are both more deserving of the sweepstakes than khan. That is irrefutable.
