Originally posted by Arma316 View PostThe fight did more to DIMINISH both guys as opposed to enlarging them. One guy fought scared, the other didn't know what to do about it. Both failed the fans in a MAJOR way, especially Pacquiao.
This fight made them both richer, but it showed how overrated both are at welterweight. At the lighter weights, both were truly great fighters. But at 147, both got guys benefited from careful match making by fighting fighters at catch-weights, fighting older guys that were past their primes, smaller guys who didn't belong at that weight, or guys that were just average fighters.
No point whatsoever in seeing them in the same ring again. No point.
This is why I said before the fight, it was too late, and I hope they don't fight. It was obviously going to be a snoozefest.
Floyd is one of the worst champs, and one of the most harmful champs to boxing. His reign was boring as hell and only appealed to blacks and whatever fans the opponent brought.
I really do hope he stays retired.
