  • Comments Thread For: Arum Says May-Pac Rematch Unlikely To Ever Happen

As previously reported, there are NO negotiations for a Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch ... despite reports that Manny said the two sides were talking ... this according to Manny's promoter, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum.

Reports surfaced out of Qatar this week that Manny told reporters he was in negotiations for one final fight ... and his team was in talks with Floyd's people.

Floyds best win on his 49 win resume is over a smaller sized Pac coming off of a loss to JMM with a bad shoulder. Surely Floyd wants to at least beat Pac with 2 good shoulders? That is if Floyd don't want to fight GGG at middleweight.

Maybe Floyd wouldn't be dehydrated at 154 as he was at 147 before he fought Pacquiao. But Sr says GGG Is to big.

The fight did more to DIMINISH both guys as opposed to enlarging them. One guy fought scared, the other didn't know what to do about it. Both failed the fans in a MAJOR way, especially Pacquiao.

This fight made them both richer, but it showed how overrated both are at welterweight. At the lighter weights, both were truly great fighters. But at 147, both got guys benefited from careful match making by fighting fighters at catch-weights, fighting older guys that were past their primes, smaller guys who didn't belong at that weight, or guys that were just average fighters.

No point whatsoever in seeing them in the same ring again. No point.
