Bingo. Any Haymon fighter will tell you they can tell Al who they want to fight. Look at Broner's matchmaking vs Quillin's.

Things like dropping the title obviously come from up top but if Quillin demanded GGG he would get him. It's a big enough fight at this stage where Haymon would allow it.

The low end of his range is more than him and GGG have generated combined throughout their entire careers I would think.

              Quillin Speaks With Forked Tongue

Quillin knows what he said is not true and he knows it first hand. He turned down a huge payday when Uncle Al told him not to take the fight with Korobov. Then they watched Lee beat K and take the title. These guys do what Haymon says because he throws huge amounts of someone elses money at them. They are in no position to say no or do what is right. Bogus article....

??? Do you have any idea what you have to do just to get to the college level?

Andy Lee and Gabriel Rosado were big problems to Quillin, so yeah GGG would also be a problem. Quillin has shown to be very average. He beat an old past it Winky Wright clearly,, N'Jikam who is another average fighter, that's about all I have seen from him as far as positive performances. His Lee and Rosado fights indicate he has a lot to learn still, I think that is because of a lack of extensive amateur background. 15 amateur fights is just not enough and he doesn't have the luxury of fighting 50 cans like JCC did, fans are more demanding now.

No sorry Quillin, I don't think you want to fight him at all! In fact I think Quillin is happy for this Split in boxing because it protects him from GGG
