Now can Chavez Jr actually make 168 or will he ruin this fight by missing weight
Maybe if they fight in Texas.

I mean, the match-up is quite good. The problem is we know Chavez isn't likely to put in the work necessary to make the weight. And if he doesn't make it down to 168, it becomes a meaningless non-title fight, which sucks. I've become a fan of Badou Jack though, so I'd be rooting for him.

Reyes is pretty much the limit as far as class of fighter that Chavez can handle. Badou beats Chavez easily...and becomes an even harder to spin illusion. But I don't think Haymon really understands Jr's limitations otherwise he never would have put him in with Fonfora...so who knows...just might happen. I'd watch just so see him lose.

I like this fight. And sure Chavez is getting an unearned shot at a belt, but 1)this happens all the time pretty much & 2)lets not act like Jack is even "the champion" or that Chavez would even be in contention to be the #1 guy at the weight if he won this fight. So who really gives a ****. This is basically a good fight between top 10, 15 or 20 guys arguably (not sure where I'd rank Chavez right now, but its an extremely whatever division so I think he's likely in the top 10 & worse case is in the top 20) for a bull**** title belt.
