Comments Thread For: Badou Jack vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Bout Possible?

New York, New York - Badou Jack ‘The Ripper’ (21-1-1, 12 KO’s) is certainly in the running for 2015 'comeback fighter of the year' and can quite possibly be a candidate for fighter of the year.

During the time he was one of Mayweather Promotions' prized prospects, he suffered a first round knockout loss to Derek Edwards.

Whats good Larry? I think Chavez really has no place to go. He can't make 168 unless he trains harder and supposedly he trained his hardest for his last fight and looked like crap against a much smaller opponent. Fonfara did a number on him as was KO'd easily by Stevenson> I can't see Chavez at 175 against Sergi or Adonis. He can't make 168 but he wants to fight Jack. I think Jack takes him out in my book.

Jr. can't make 168 to save his life. I can't believe how pleased and self satisfied he acted in the last fight, despite coming in overweight, despite fighting at a catchweight that was even raised once.

He couldn't make two designated catch weights. He also quit on his stool against Fonfara.

Chavez Jr is somehow the highest rated available challenger in the WBC SMW rankings.

I think he's just going to fight 168 fighters and make them come up to whatever CW he is comfortable with.

That way he can continue to just fight smaller fighters, unfairly. Just like Coto and Canelo.

Interesting fight and I do think Jack has earned a big fight like this. Chavez though not good or as popular has a little tread left but the tires are almost bald. Loss here and hes done.
