    "muh resume!"

who a figther is fighting does not effect if u can fight him next!

that is no excuse...they know ward wants to fight them...his next 3 opponents is not your business...u vs him should be your buxiness...this excuse does not hold up..

and if he goes to 175 and fights gonzales that is no tune up...thats a more competitve fight than this so called "unification"

Let me go on the record to state that I would like to see GGG/Ward take place at 168 after GGG fights/defeats either Cotto or Canelo.

GGG and Ward currently fight 2 weight classes apart and according to RN sports/HBO/Kathy Duva, there are talks for Ward to face Kovalev next year. Can Ward even make 168? Also, do you hold a fighter like Floyd to the same standard by saying he ducked GGG despite GGG fighting 1-2 weight classes above where Floyd fought and had titles at? How can GGG be too big for Floyd yet as it stands, Ward isnt too big for GGG?

Now if Ward was a solid 168lb fighter, then there would be more to discuss. GGG can go up a few lbs (as he stated he would) while Ward come down a few lbs. This would even things up a little bit. Or maybe GGG makes the move to 168 after unifying 160. I'm for that as well. But to say that a 160lb fighter is ducking a LHW is just ridiculous. It just goes to show you how good you feel GGG is despite what you claim.

[QUOTE=IMDAZED;16119635]This fight against Lemieux isn't PPV worthy either but they put it on there. I'm just really curious to see how this all plays out. Let's see:

          1. Canelo beats Cotto. GGG can forget about that fight for at least a year. Maybe 2017. DLH ain't having it and HBO can't force Canelo's hand because of his star power.

          2. Cotto beats Canelo. May or may not fight GGG next. If yes, they'll bend him over at the negotiating table, drain him as low as they can and...God, what happens if GGG loses to him?

          3. Canelo-Cotto warrants a rematch.

i'm betting option 2 and 3...idk if the contract had a rematch clause, but im sure if cotto is getting 30 mil the wbc will not strip him, and if they do he'll rather have his 30 million opposed to their belt

if he's irrelevant, hasn't fought a lot recently to be relevant, people wouldnt ask you questions about him in every interview and vice versa.

takin one fight outside of a weight class in a non title fight and hbo begging u to move to 175 to fight kovalev instead of pickingo n their future cash cow doest not equate to being light heavy weight...floyd fought at 150 but that didnt make him jr mw..he was right back at ww...floyd fans didnt say my man is a jr mw now he cant fight pac...enough of that excuse already...

ward is a pro he has never missed weight! dont make any more of that than u have to...30 day weigh ins will tell u where is weight is and k2 knows all this they are just feeding dumb fans public one liners to repeat

Yeah not very good options for GGG. But HBO is pushing hard. They need that next star. I'm not convinced he's the one but if they maneuver him right they can make him look like it.

GGG is an outstanding fighter. Great personality. Wonderful offensive skills. But his flaws are really glaring. Ward is ALL wrong for him so forget that fight ever happening. It comes down to whether Cotto wins and if he's willing to fight him. If not, those steady string of tuneups for GGG aren't going to look as cool next year as they did this year.

Then what? Andy Lee won't cut it.

Bottom line is that this PPV headliner is pure basura. And I won't co-sign it because if we keep signing up for **** like that, they'll keep giving it to us.
Mismatch to the core man, I'll find me a link though.
