Canelo is flat footed and ponders. He is accurate but against Cotto I doubt as much.

Alright people. Look at the fight Floyd vs Cotto % then look at the % in the fight of Floyd vs canelo.
Floyd-Cotto 26% may weather 21% cotto. Cotto even busted up Floyd some.
    Then u have Floyd-canelo 46% to 22%
Now who fought the lb for lb best boxer in the world and made a fight with Floyd style. Cotto.
Yet I don't recall Canelo ever being in trouble in his fight...but Mayweather (of all people!) had Cotto doing the Boricua Boogaloo or I'm sorry, the "Taino" dance in the...11th was it?...

What Floyd definetly has "more" of than Cotto is conditioning. That is undisputed.(assuming no peds). No matter what anyone says here those two were neck in neck up thru the eight round. Cotto blew his load and gases out. Floyd took fight over from 9-12. That my friend is how floyd won the fight.

Floyd against berto , Guerrero canelo and miadana are examples of Floyd haveing more skills over his opponent.

Cotto started learning English at 25 or so. Don't expect perfection. But he's damn near fluent now. Look him up from years ago and you will be how far he came. You. Can excuse his his ocasional grammatical errors.
Talking about yourself in the third person is NOT a 'grammatical error', it's a SUPERIORITY COMPLEX....

Just like 'it was his time' vs Floyd. Cotto's career is getting a second wind, and he is going to outbox Canelo to a UD. Canelo gasses mid-way, so Cotto's left hook to the body could put Canelo on his knees.

Mayweather beat everybody on paper atleast.
Those 3 fights, I believe, (just-an-opinion alert here!) were just smoke & mirrors...look at the condition of 2 of his opponents were when they fought and Delvin?...are you SERIOUS??!...that's like Garcia vs Rob Salka!!...now if Cotto...IF....if Cotto beats Canelo in a dominating performance, hats off to him....until then, it's your only PRicanailty talking

If Cotto can make sure that he stays on the move, use pivots, dip slip slide, in and out side to side with short crisp combinations for 12 rounds he got this. He got to be in a tremendous shape though cuz Canelo is younger, fresher, bigger and he's gonna try to wear Cotto down.

Cotto is a great fighter. But mayweather beat him. Castillo took it too Floyd, high pressure and cotto also applied pressure. I think cotto is better than Castillo, but Castillo came the closest to beating Floyd. But Floyd got better as did Cotto.

As far as English skills, Puerto Rico is a common weath / territory of the U.S.? I have been there and Using English was not an issue.

Marquez is a guy who learned English at a later age, because he felt it would improve his marketability.

Canelo is trying to learn English to market himself better.

But I like Cotto a lot. Maybe more than Canelo.
He seems to have been born with class & grace.
We certainly can disagree. I respect your view. I think we both agree both are magnificent fighters and should be respected as such.

Puerto Rico is a funny place. I recall going to elementary school here and English is thought from grade 1. Yet none of my cousins and 85% of the country doesn't speak it. They are not dumb just choose to not elegant to speak or leArn it. True if you visit your will have no problem communicating. That's usually because your in tourist area which naturally there is a demand for English speakers. Beaches resorts and shops in those areas always have English speakers. Go into the neighborhoods and that quickly disapates.

Trinidad became famous and never learned English. He didn't care. Cotto is the more business oriented one thus necessitating learning English.

I think Cotto does to canelo what Floyd did to him. Except that canelo won't make the same mistake he did against Floyd. We wil see

Huge opportunity for Canelo. He wins this fight he gets the Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence day dates for potentially the next 5-10 years.
