Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, was shocked to read reports that there were ongoing negotiations for a rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. for 2016.

In what was the most richest fight in boxing history, Mayweather won a twelve round decision over Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather announced his retirement from boxing on September 12th, following his twelve round decision victory over Andre Berto.

Pacquiao has been really really embarrassing since the night of May 2nd. This is coming from someone who was initially rooting for him that night. Thought Floyd was pathetic for bragging about having spies in the camp, and for having Vada + Vegas in his back pocket. But Manny has shown that he's in no way above acting in a foolish manner himself.

The fight itself was BS and any talk or rumbling after it was just splatter. Im looking forward to boxing headlines without Pacquiao or Mayweather in it. Great careers, gifted athletes, & brave warriors but its time for everyone to let it go. This site is called boxingscene not may or pac scene.
