Been rumored for awhile now. I would probably move it off of McGregor vs Aldo date, that is a huge fight.

it isn't the year 2014 last i checked, theres still some fights we haven't gotten but boxing has had some really good matches all year round.

Bcuz of my expectations of PBC, id be surprised to see this fight announced. One thing thats a positive indicator is the date bcuz Haymons known to do dumb shtt like staging a fight the same night UFC has a huge PPV. How ****** that is is what has me thinking he might actually make this fight..hope so.

You could be right but if this fight goes down, Thurman is going to hope he fairs better than Broner did who could take Porter's punches but like Thurman he likes to pot-shot and fight at a measured pace. Unless Thurman can hurt Porter, which is definitely possible, he might have trouble dealing with Porter's pace and pressure.
This would be Thurman's first real test to determine whether he is truly in the upper echelon of the welterweight division. Although he has some decent wins under his belt, Thurman has only beaten one-time contenders (pardon the pun) thus far and has showed some defensive flaws, especially when he is being pressured on the inside and it's still debatable how much of a punch Thurman can take. Kell Brook out boxed Porter for his title but I'm not sure whether Thurman is as good a pure boxer as Brook or if he is really more of a pure puncher trying to be more of a pure boxer.
Porter wants this fight. Thurman wants this fight.
I would think Haymon should like this fight as well since, although it may negatively affect the loser's career, this is a fight a lot of boxing fans would like to see and I can't imagine this fight not being successful financially. Who knows what would happen in the ring!
