Haymon has run out Soto Karrasses and Bundus for Thurman. You have to believe it. And Porter is the only one available. Unless he wants Joselito Lopez.
The jury is still out on Thurman. I’m a latecomer to his bandwagon and I think he has all the qualities to be something special. In this case, I think he handles Porter rather easily, not as easily as Brook handled him but similar to how he handled Karass. Porter is open for shots that Thurman often hurts guys with and I can't see him being much of a challenge to someone who can maneuver and counter like Thurman can.
I’m not high on Porter just yet. Beating Broner isn’t impressive and it was an ugly, awful fight between them. He looked lost against Brook who he couldn't bully in the ring like he did Alexander and Paulie. With that being said, I think Thurman puts a spanking on Porter, scoring at least one knockdown in the process and winning a wide UD.
