That doesn't sound exciting to you, bro?

Thurman's first real step and we'll get to see if he is worth all the hype and just how real he really is. Shawn Porter has a chance to get a second "name" scalp in the span of a year and really put himself in the running for a big fight.

I know both guys are in their 20s but it seems like a real cross roads type of match up. I like it.

Porter has shown that he can be countered coming and all it takes enough power to make it count (such as in the Kell Brook fight). Thurman has the power and handspeed to make it count.

Not sure how Thurman can handle aggressive opponents like Porter but he's definitely gonna need better footwork and body movement if he wants to get away from Porter's own hard shots.

Good matchup. I suppose one could argue this could be for the #1 spot at 147 with Floyd retiring & Manny coming off the L & lackluster W's before that. Although Thurman would need a better W than Brook & if Porter wins than Brook is #1 so no win situation for Porter on the #1 spot front.
