Additionally, Ward would be the favorite going into that fight. So why would they risk a potential big money PPV fight with a naturally smaller opponent where they would be the easy favorite and for more money as opposed to fighting someone who is naturally larger and not a cash cow?
Ward/GGG....you mention the 2 and it explodes. GGG isnt a big as some think he is and Ward isnt as unknown as some want to believe. But together they make a monster event.

But it isnt ready yet. GGG has yet to prove hes elite and Ward re-establishing himself.

Don't need him. Maybe your losing your IQ because you don't use. Any common sense ! They have used Wards name the whole time with no intentions of fighting him!

Guess he wasn't serious about Froch and Chavez Jr either right ..

And GGG said he would have went to 154 to fight Floyd his words were that would be my dream fight but let me guess he was just kidding right

I find it hysterical how triple duck supporters defend a guy with such a weak resume yet try to **** on fighters like Ward who is much more accomplished

BTW, when is Ward fighting a heavyweight? He did say that years ago, didnt he? Or was he kidding?

Again - link to website offering 12-1 or 15-1 odds please. Best I can see is 7-1, which is much less enticing.

Sanchez sure does enjoy being questioned about "irrelevant" fighters. If Ward was irrelevant, they wouldn't be asking him about Ward.

About two weeks and the the Lemieux vs Golovkin fight will be over.

We'll soon see whether Ward will make a huge effort in making the Golovkin fight happen. Two weeks is not that far off.

But with that said if GGG wants to prove his greatness he should move up in weight and challenge some of the best guys in the divsion north of him ..No catch weights nada just like he was willing to do for Chavez Jr and Froch .

In the end do people really care who made the most money ? No it should be about who they fought !
Who said he wants to prove his greatness? To you? He'll probably be satisfied to know he is best in the world at MW plus make loads of money.

There are very few fighters like Mayweather, Pac or Hopkins or Jones who move up though the weights. Sanchez has alluded that GGG could be the best middleweight ever but I don't hear that from Golovkin's mouth. Most fighters think like Cotto and Mayweather - they just don't say it out aloud. Ward thinks the same way. If he really thought he could dominate the LHW div. why isn't he taking warm up fights at a quicker rate so as to be ready for a PPV with Kolovkin or Stevenson or whoever will be the king pin there? The risk reward isn't there for him. So he prefers to call out Golovkin - which makes more financial sense. GGG is same viz-a-viz Ward and Cotto/Canelo.

GGG is the one with no resume but its the accomplished fighters who have to chase him?

                      GGG fights at 160

                      Ward fights at 172

                      Kovalev fights at 175.

My questions is, why aren't Ward fanboys pushing for Ward to fight the killer in his own weight class?
