Of course Postol may get the call to fight Manny, but I highly doubt that.

bob arum is not going to try and pass the torch to victor freaking postol.

ARum, no. HBO, possibly. If you are HBO, Postol has 2 big wins on your network. He will come relatively cheap as opposed to Crawfor or Verdejo-2 potential stars.

HBO has cut its budget such that Kov (this year) and Canelo and Cotto (last year) couldn't stage fights in the last quarter of the year.

I highly doubt it but financially Postol is the kind of low paid, action, good ratings fighter Herschman historically invests in.

i still think he beats fury. that guy just won't be able to get out of the righ thand, or take it when it lands.
Ehhhh...I'm not sold on Wilder being a star...At least not now.

He would have to clean out the division in order to do that, which would take him until the end of 2016 (if that)...

Especially if he is fighting Jennings next. That would make it three fights before going up against his mandatory.

he's an american HW with power.

HW get paid a TON of money. a ton. they're moved slowly because they take a while to mature physically, and because the pot of gold at the end of the rainbaow, unless you're a PPV welterweight, is generally the biggest.

it's only since oscar de la hoya that smaller guys have been able to command that kind of money. leonard did, too, but he was never on PPV.

he's not an action fighter, for starters. additioanlly, he's not american, english speaking, and doesn't havea built in ethnic / geographic following, the way a PR does in new york.

HBO doesn;t think viktor freaking postol is going to carry manny pacquiao's torch. trust

No big deal. Don King is the master when it comes to voluntary defenses.
Should Imam win the title, that's what we'll get...several voluntary defenses.

So Don should have no problems with getting a taste of his own medicine.

that isn't what I said. I said Herschman likes to invest in fighters like Postol. Low pay, good entertainment value.

Canelo/GGG winner is the next big HBO star.

And exactly why is that? If he deserves it, why not?

Imam hasn't faced anyone on this stage but based on the eye test, I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Postol

His skills are very good for someone his age and stage of his career

I would at least let him face a lower top ten guy first. or get to fight 20 when he gets the shot to get rounds in and better seasoning
