Yup I said in another thread the hypocrites who have called out other fighters quitting before all the sudden have turned into a new leaf just because it's one of there 'favorite' fighters they know who they are. Karma mfu.kers.
Remember all the troub1e Cotto got for quitting against Margarito?

It's strange how things turn out. Cotto was made fun of for quitting, but regrouped and continued his excellent career.
Margarito was in a situation a few years later, when he maybe should of quit but didn't. Sure he gets called a warrior, but he now has an eye like a piss hole.
Cotto shouldn't of been called out. Lucas or anyone else shouldn't either.Comment

Okay, I'll admit I laughed at this particular one

To be fair, the Cotto quitting thing came from mostly Mexicans engaged in the Mexican/Puerto Rican rivalry. (Which I find hilarious) because both great Mexican and Puerto Rican fighters have quit.
In the case of Cotto however, he did take a hellacious beating at the hands of a man with questionable tactics. I have never found the shame in that. Blood was streaming out of his ear. It's real easy to talk tough sitting behind a keyboard typing away.
In the case of Lucas, it wasn't his night and he knew it. I don't know what happened, but I don't blame him either.
If ever I would criticize a quitting fighter, it'd be the Arce/Rojas fight of recent memory. From what I recall Arce dropped Rojas and was clearly unprepared for what Rojas would do next. Arce got hit with a couple thunderous blows and immediately looked for a way out. That was shameless quitting. But I don't compare that to the sustained beating other fighters have endured.Comment

When you take a fighter to his mental brink , they will all quit and the funny thing is the mindset they have on that day can be different than what they had the day before and they might not have quit yesterday , weird how the mind works , when they quit its like a mental breakdown that lasts a few seconds , the difference is it just takes some guys a lot more discouragement to reach that point , but you better believe that point is in all of us somewhere , very few beings on this earth is what could be described absolutely dead game .Comment

Anyone who blamed Cotto for quiting (not really) should rewatch the fight.
He was getting beat down by Tony (the same one that TB Never ducked).
Also, once Tony got exposed by Brother ****m, that should clear up anyone who believe Cotto quit against a cheater, who Cotto beat up in the rematch.
As far as Lucas goes, if he couldn't see, he couldn't fight. If he did he could have got hurt. He is a warrior and shouldn't be labeled with Victor Ortiz (he deserves respect too!).
It is not like Lucas quit in the 1st round, he just took a bad beating from Provodnikov and they have a good game plan (same trainer made a difference).
It is easy to clown fighters, but if you were the one getting your face beaten in, you would probably be a little more forgiving.Comment
