    Absolutely fine with this.

Fighting in early January isn't going to alter when he's likely to fight Povetkin anyway and I'm pleasantly surprised they're actually looking at somebody with a pulse.

Let's see if he can move to 2-0 in notable wins.

The WBC should strip Wilder if he fights Jennings instead of Povetkin next. If they allow him to fight Jennings first, Wilder will manufacture an injury after the fight (just like #48) to delay the fight further. Povetkin will then take another fight to avoid getting rusty and Wilder will then claim he is entitled to a fourth voluntary fight since Povetkin won't be ready to fight when Wilder claims he is ready to fight again.

This guy has already bottomed out and hit the floor for me.

He can't get any lower than this!

WBC really need to step in and call a purse bid otherwise Wilder will continue to make "voluntary" fights till there is no more milking to be made.

Povetkin is not fighting early next year after fighting in November. I would think April would be the quickest he would want to turn around and I don't think May would hurt his feelings much.

It can be worked out just fine, and Povetkin (and his team) will want this big fight because there will be a lot of money in it. Forcing the issue would kill the golden goose, you never kill the golden goose just because it is not producing golden eggs fast enough~

Good fight. It will give Wilder 4 fights in a span of 1 year (01/17/2015-01/09/2016) with 2 coming against top 10 heavyweights (Stiverne, Jennings).

If every champion fought like that, boxing would be a great sport.

If we ignore the Povetkin debacle, whats wrong with Jennings as an opponent?

He's a talented fighter who gave Wlad his toughest fight in years.

I don't think Wilder is evading anyone. Povetkin fights in November. Wilder fights in January. They fight each other in May. What's the problem?

why would we ignore the povetkin debacle?? povetkin has been mandatory for a while and deserves the shot. I dont care if jennings won 2 rounds against wlad hes way below povetkins level
