    GGG doing 300k in this fight could demonstrate the ability to have a big showing against a more significant opponent. For a first PPV, this would not be a disappointing at all.

    It's the same numbers Canelo did before fighting Mayweather which did crazy numbers that other fighters could not do when fighting Mayweather.
    My argument is based on the statements of those on this very site when criticizing other ppv's. Its based off of what others have said previously, dont be mad at me.

      Ok, and...?

      What does that have to do with the fact that 300k is a solid target to hit in a first PPV fight against a non-established fighter?

        200K for your 1st PPV is great. Mayweather and Pacquiao's first PPV was 350 and 365K. Clearly 200-250K would be a fair adjustment for Golovkin.

They are promoting him as a superstar, superstars sell 1mil, oh remeber when floyd did 900k vs guerrero? It was considered a bomb, lol. If he's elite and boxings next superstar? He's gotta put those numbers up, if a "boring boxer" is putting up big #'s surely a guy who has HBO backing and all of the so-called fans of "exciting boxers" should do BIG #'S Since 900K was a bomb and 550K was a bomb for amount of ppv's sold, he has to do 1mil, since he's supposed to be good for boxing and soooo exciting. lol
            Just going off of what you guys say, lol. Remeber when floyd should move up for better competition to 154lb division, listen to how Ward should move up 1 division and face Kovalev, LOL! but lil g ooohhh noooo, he's p4p and boxings next superstar, he should put up those NUMBERS or he's a bust, remember you criticizing OTHER boxers that put up those same #'s being boring, and he's allegedly exciting and good for boxing, and pay has nothing to do with how many people want to see you perform. We will see how popular and see how many people want to see him perform, by his numbers. REMEMBER all that **** you guys talked, cause I DO!
            let the crying begin....
            The best way to compare this PPV is to compare it to the first PPV of the other fighters(PAC, May, Cotto, Canelo). *don't count the fight between each other.

            then you will have a fair view of the number. Don't you think?

              More impressive is how a Kazakh and a Canadian were able to sell out MSG, yet Broner and Floyd werent able to sell out their arena's in their own home towns in their last fights.

                  350K will be a success, almost no investment in publicity and gettin that number will be awesome for HBO and K2/GBP.

                  Anything beyond that number will be a Huge success.

                  But still if that happens we will have people here saying

                  " but , but , PPV cost $10 bucks doe"

                    0 sources have it 25-1 odds.

                    I'm enjoying your fact-free arguments though.
