This is a classic case of the power puncher vs the jabber. I stay consistent and always feel that the guy who landed the more power punches wins the fight, UNLESS the jabber outpunches the power puncher in the majority of the rounds, which is not what happened at all. Both guys outlanded eachother on about 5 rounds each, with 2 rounds having identical landed punches, and I gave it to the power puncher. Jabs are important, but jabs alone will not win you the fight. Herrera was the superior jabber, Garcia landed more power punches. DSG won the fight close, but he won.

    150(Garcia) power punches vs 82(Herrera)
    54(G) jabs vs 139(H)

150 power punches vs 139 jabs? The judges liked the power punches, so did I. And It's not like Herrera outlanded Garcia in every round, it was in 5 rounds. DSG won close.

    I had it 7-5 Garcia.
Except none of Garcias powee punches were meaningful

Herrera with a jab did more damage than garcias magic power punches

Close fight, but dont change the narrative. Garcia absolutely did not land any meaningful punch

And it's not about "looks". It's not about who looks like what. That's not how boxing is scored. Maybe in a street fight you lost but your foe looks more busted than you, you can claim you won and people would believe you. But boxing is not scored on a busted lip or swollen eye.
For 12 rounds it looked like Garia was getting his ass beat. The fight wasn't close at all. Easy fight to score, I don't think Garcia won more than 2 rounds clearly.

Herrera's power punches did more damage than Garicia's power punches too. The best power punches of the fight were all landed by Herrera. I'm still waiting for someone to show me all these clean crisp power punches Garcia landed.

Not even Showtime found a single noteworthy Garcia highlight during their inbetween round replays. Every time they tried showing a Garcia highlight, they were all like "Oops, nothing ended up landing clean. He was active doe."

I think he beat Garcia but I doubt he would beat Postol.
