So who owns the lineage at 140

Peterson and herrera should fight imo.
They are closest links to such.

Broner just won another paper belt.
Meaningless really since there is over 6-7 belts per division.

    Postol won another vacant

Benevidez robbed herrera and hasnt defended.
    Crawford in the mix

    140 is a mess

Broner isnt better than postol crawford or peterson or herrera. He should press to fight one of them. Its business

Well, Garcia vacated his spot, which he won off Khan. So it's interesting.

Postol might have a claim, beating the highest ranked lww at the time.

Peterson for being a titlist...how with all the drugs and stuff is beyond me.

So, a true lineage, imo, can be established with Peterson v Postol and solidified with the winner facing either TC or Broner.

khan was not lineal champion. he beat khan in a box off for the vacant lineage. they were the 1 and 2 contenders to a vacancy at the time of their fight. danny establisheed the lineage that manny pacquiao vacated after knocking out ricky hatton in his only fight at 140.

bradley had been te #1 guy, but was never a lineal champion. he neglected a khan fight to fight manny pacquiao at 147 lbs on ppv [the robbery fight.]

            lesson over.

If anything,it should be postol. He just got the wbc stap, and did it by ko'ing the closest thing to a "boogey man" there was at 140.

i'd love to see crawford and postol. those are my picks for the top 140 lbers on the planet right now. i think they beat the rest.

bud crafword doesn't have ht wins, but he was a top 135 lber with punching power who outgrew the division. it's only 5 lbs to a guy who cut weight and has a big frame, and it's not all that significant.
