Wont bash on Lucas, but he did quit, plain and simple! IMHO he looked gassed and frustrated prior to quitting. He even said at one point: "nothing was going for me". At the end of the day is his health and there's nothing wrong looking out for you.

Now, what I'm amazed is on the double standards by posters @ this site. If it would be any of the "unlike fighters" I guarantee that the threads would have been very different. Can you imagine if Floyd, Cotto, Broner, Danny G, Ward, etc. made the same decision?!!!!

but when other fighters move out of the way of a glove so that it doesn't hit them in the head or eye.. they are "runners"?

just bend over and accept that you have no business talking about boxing [or anything for that matter] with somebody like myself. it's a hell of a lot easier. i'm in that ******** either way.

What happened to, " do it for the fans " ?

What happened to, " go out on your shield " ?

What happened to " warrior doe " ?

As I said, dont really have a problem, other than the lack of consistancy from some fans.
This. People on here want to pick and choose whens its okay to criticize a fighter for quitting. But he quit, plain and simple.

How can it be a "freak accident" if it's happened like 3 times now?
