Cherry is a pretty good fighter who can throw pretty much every punch in the book pretty well.

If Pedraza is going to be a very good fighter, he needed a learning experience like this and while it was a tough scrappy fight it is not like he got dominated either.

If he doesn't learn from that fight and improve from it then yea he was never going to be that good.

Part of the learning curve. Funny to hear the overused word "exposed" thrown around in ignorance like so much confetti, without taking all other factors into consideration. I'm sure Pedraza learned a hell of a lot last night in a fight that, honestly, could've gone the other way. The fight was good... it was entertaining... and sometimes we as fans should be happy with that.

Disappointing really for a guy with obvious talent.

I wasn't disappointed at all. I knew Cherry was going to give him hell, he'd give anybody at 130 a good fight. Tough fights like this are good for up and coming fighters like Pedraza.

Nope.. Nobody remembers that cherry has fought as high as 140+ you can tell Pedraza had the skills to beat him but no pop behind the punches because cherry wasn't bothered by the hits. Pedraza switched stances and had him confused but in last nights case it was just a bigger guy. I had Pedraza by 2 on to the next.

Last night Pedraza again showed the things I like about him, he's very crafty and accurate from the outside plus he can mix it up on the inside. Good body puncher too.

The guy overall is a pretty complete fighter. But his power seems to be lacking which could be a problem against tough opponents such as Cherry.

I don't think so, I think Pedraza is a excellent fighter, I think he may have underestimated the hell out of Cherry

Pedraza boxed nicely I thought, just need to tighten up his Defense a bit but Cherry gave a great effort but he did not TAKE IT from the Champion but the fight was was much closer thab 117-111. I think it should have been a Draw personally

Pedraza will be fine. Although he is a Champion he is still basically a Prospect so he is still improving as a fighter.

This was literally Pedraza's toughest fight since the Amateurs World Championship final back in 09.
