In summary it would be a person that has a shot at winning no matter who they step into the ring with. Matthysse might not be a complete fighter but he is always dangerous and he always has his moments in a fight.

If a fighter is one of the 10 best fighters in the entire ****ing world in your division, and Matthysse has been that and more for a while, then clearly that fighter is world class. To argue otherwise is plain ******ed.

You ever consider what Pistol brings to the table? How about size and reach, and quick feet to keep a good boxer like Matgysse off of him. I don't think the world of Mathysse, but he was at every disadvantage except power. And what good is power if you can't reach a guy.

I have considered that but it's not like Postol is the specific kind of frame a fighter has to have to beat Mathysse. People in all shapes,sizes and styles have beat him...you need to be a World Class fighter to beat Lucas anything below World Class level he probably beats ... It's that upper echelon he can't get passed

By it's very definition "world class" means you beat a CURRENT world CHAMPION with the BELT on THE LINE... Lucas was never able to do that and he's had the opportunity presented to him PLENTY of times

twice, but we know its take 3 attempts to get a world title sometimes just ask broner.

Against Postol he never really punched coming in, he just buried his head and charged forward. He showed little to no head movement to avoid punches. As his stamina decereases he looks markedly worse. Didn't show he could fight inside. He did land some hard shots but where were the combos? the traps?

He has world class power for sure. But he doesn't have world class talent.

Who gives a **** what he looks like? He beats world class fighters. He's one of the very, very best at his weight in the entire world. Most think he beat Judah by decision and damn near everyone thinks he beat Alexander. He just beat Ruslan by decision this year quite comfortably. Of course he can win by decision.

I look at it like this. Take the top 5 guys at 140 and the top 5 at 147. Does he beat any ... ANY ... Of those guys if a belt was on the line? If the answer is no... Or "probably not". Then how can he be "Word Class" at the same time? Surely there's some sort of cut off when defining a "World Class" boxer... Everyone can't make the cut and I think Lucas falls short of that. Name a fighter who could lose as many times as he has in big spots,regardless of who YOU felt SHOULD HAVE won, and still be called "World Class" (one of the best in the world)? Name one....
