Porter did school Broner. Nobody has any business arguing that. Porter totally dominated that fight. Broner just simply needs some improvements. It's really that simple.

honestly Porter ain't nothing special, Broner should've and could've beat him but he didn't and that's what counts, the difference between both fighters that night was that one fighter had a game plan and followed it in a disciplined and concentrated manner in Porter, Broner seemed to have gone in there and "played it by ear"... Broner has amazing talent and is a virtuoso with his fists but his lack of concentration combined with his overconfidence is what made the difference that night, it's not like Porter had some kind of awesome highlight reel performance that night

Originally posted by bojangles1987 View PostHe stops throwing punches because he's a dumb fighter who needs a stationary opponent to look good. Do anything besides stand directly in front of him and Broner will stop throwing because he doesn't know what to do.
Originally posted by John Locke View PostThe idea that Broner is this great talent who doesn't train, take fights seriously etc is nonsense. He struggles and loses everytime he steps up simply because he's very average, not because of his habits outside of the ring.

Yep, pretty much non-stop.
HA!
Same formula every fight for Bonehead.
Yep. He's fairly slick vs cans, but that's where it ends.
Porter worked hard for the whole fight, followed his gameplan. Bonehead didn't. Simple. And no, he is nowhere near talented or virtuoso level vs any fighter besides cans. And what did he do to even get THIS fight, besides totally lose to Porter?

Whoever devised the tactics for that fight should have been fired. They had him clinching for life because they saw it worked for Brook. But it was such a woeful tactic because fighting like that nullifies Broner's strength, which is to be aggressive. He is quick-handed and he can punch. Reducing Adrien Broner to the role of a spoiler was so ******ed. At least against Chino he went down fighting.

I really don’t want to get into what I really feel because only I know that I beat myself that night. And I can assure you it won’t happen again.”

You could not stop Porter. He pushed you around the ring.
