Had to agree w/ what he said we shouldn't knock fighters accomplishments some people work for ever and never get a belt ..I remember when Ruslan won his title over Mike Alvarado and the joy he expressed winning his first world title ..

But then again some obvious nonsense has to be pointed out like wit Manny and his Jr. mw belt ..

Demarco was the number 1 bum with a title who got his crap push in by Edwin Valero befor anybody knew who he was and Burns was a bum not the man to beat. the guy to beat at the time was and still is Miguel Vazquez

But lets not pretend that his win over Demarco didnt mean anything. Its a solid win
YOU don't know crap about boxing PERIOD if you think Demarco was a good fighter he was a bum easy cherry pick at 135 beside Burns. He must be good because he was rank number ONE GET THE **** OUT HERE WITH THAT. how about you watch his fights I don't see how anybody can say with a straight face Demarco was a great accomplishment on Broner record

He beat down the best in the division, you can't ask for much more. When the discussion is about his titles meaning nothing, you must consider his Lightweight title a legitimate one. It's not his fault lightweight was weak. He beat the best, defended, then moved up. Hate on him for a lot of things, if that's what you're into, but his Lightweight title was a legit accomplishment. He was the best lightweight in the world

Broner is right, here. No matter how much the fans trash the belts, this is what these guys are in it for. To be called a champion.

Ishe Smith probably would of smacked the interviewer upside the head if he said that about the belt he won.

He's treading on thin ice. Hymen robbed Showtime blind and putting Broner on their network is supposed to be some kind of a peace offering or something so you know they aren't into that same stuff that SRL and BJ Flores are into anymore. The days of lapping up any hyped up prospect as the next Ali because he's a house fighter are gone because Broner isn't a Showtime boxer, he's a PBC boxer. He should have been prepared to face the tough questions.

He didn't completely lose his cool and I can agree with him to a point but he has slipped and I can imagine that the Showtime-Hymen relationship is precarious at best, so the "tense" line of questioning is to be expected. Still, that's nothing to what Jim Grey would have done or may do later on tonight if he has the chance to interview Broner.

DeMarco beat Jorge Linares for the WBC 135 belt. That's better than any win on Abril and Vazquez's record.

Linares is still a reigning champion to this day.
