I assume that was the troll bait. Middleweight hasn't had any sort of consistent depth since the early to mid-90s. There hasn't been a GREAT era in the class since Nunn, Toney, McCallum, Jones, Benn etc. were lighting it up in the post-Hagler years. The class was livened by the 01 tourney and had a few bright years between 05-07, but it fell off quick and is, like most classes right now, mired in mediocrity below a few high quality guys up top.
We are in a Weak Middleweight Era

It is actually probably better than it has been in recent memory, which is a pretty low bar. The problem I have with the division is where are the prospects to keep it moving in the right direction and vibrant.Comment

It's better by way of some star power, but two of the three guys who make it attractive aren't really full fledged to class yet. Rough spot.Comment

Notice how it's only trolls with red K or 1-2 rep bars who make these type of threads.
The hate is real.
Gennady Golovkin, the best/most dominant fighter of all time. A white kid from Kazakhstan, the most powerful/strongest puncher in the history of the sport. That eats you up inside, it deeply bothers you. And you have to live with that REALITY every day of your life.
Sayonara, off to my ignore list you go.

I wouldn't call it "Weak" Promotional and Network Divide has Crippled this Division as well as the Light Heavyweight Division. So the best guy in the Division haven't even fought any of the Top Guys in the Division because of this Great Divide in Boxing which is not good for the sport at all
Regardless of who I think would win, I would love to see winner of GGG vs Lemeiux fight Andy Lee or winner of GGG vs Lemeiux fight winner of Quillin vs Jacobs.
I like the prospects in that Division though: Eubanks Jr, Ievgen Khytrov, Antoine Douglas and Hugo Centeno Jr. Dominic Wade is the only one that don't impress me much but he has some Raw Talent. Yeah Khytrov struggled his last fight but he fought sick apparently. Now if Canelo, Lara and some of the other 154 fighters start to move up to 160 then that Division will quickly become one of the bestLast edited by sicko; 10-03-2015, 12:04 PM.Comment

OP is not an actual dagowop. Trying to cover his tracks by naming himself that and seeming unbiased by downplaying white fighters and bigging up Danny Jacobs who everyone knows is trash thereby which exposing his true identity. That, not of a dagowop. Alterior motive exposed.Comment

Yea but some star power will force other talents to gravitate there away from 154 or shrink down to give it a crack. The possibilities are at least there now (for the moment) but while 154 has improved a bit I don't know that the conditions exist for 160 to get hot.Comment

But fr, I only said Jacobs was the legit out of them because he is fighting Quillin in december, if he had not been fighting Quillin then I would have said he was the worst. Like I said earlier in this thread.Comment

So all it takes is fighting Quillin to be legit? Lee fought him, GGG tried a few times, now fights Lemieux who's probably betterComment
