Gave up his belts to move up to Light-Heavyweight for a much bigger fight against Hopkins obviously.

Froch probably wanted to get into a mandatory position
so he didn't have to sign options with Warren.

That's when Calzaghe moved up to pursue bigger fights.
Warren mentions how Froch wanted to know when Calzaghe moves up to LHW?

Calzaghe was supposed to move up to Light Heavyweight a few times. There was the proposed Glen Johnson fight for example, which fell through.

Chris Eubank has said a lot of BS over the years. He was also past his best days by that point.

He also dropped Hopkins with a body shot with shot hands and Hopkins faked a low blow. And i say that as a huge Hopkins fan.
Choke yourself please. Hopkins didn't get dropped obviously. He was hit low and he took a breather (you get up to five minutes by rule and surely Hopkins milked it as long as possible). Getting dropped means a fighter was legitimately knocked down, obviously he suffered no knockdown.

He did have power but he couldn't put much into 99% of his shots because his hands were a wreck.
No he didn't have power. I'm sure he had some pop just like someone like Timothy Bradley has some pop. But at no point in his career was he a powerful puncher.

It fell through four times actually, all excuses from Calzaghe. After Johnson KOd the man Calzaghe thought was the greatest fighter ever in Jones, he wanted no part. Which is sad. Calzaghe definitely was scared of challenging himself throughout his career. He probably could have accomplished a lot more if he didn't have that fear of failing but then again if he had tougher stretches of fights, instead of fighting one good fighter every few years, maybe he wouldn't have lasted as long. We'll never know.

Inaccurate. The fight fell through before Johnson fought Jones. Johnson was basically a journeyman at the time who'd gone life n death with Clinton Woods.

He a tually pulled out the bout with Johnson 3 times ..

Also even though he went and fought a shot Jones and Hopkins the fight with Froch would have been huge at the time

Not really. Froch was virtually unknown at the time. Not even in the same stratosphere as a fight with Hopkins in America. A complete revision of history.
