Broner went up to welterweight way too fast without beating anyone of note at 135-140 except for DeMarco. He had to reign 135 for a little while, then 140 for a little while, the WW. Dude almost lost to Malignaggi at 147, who is more of a gatekeeper than a top fighter.

You're still hating in a way, but you explained it real good. He's getting favorite treatment with this fight. I see him having trouble making weight, so it may not be such a mismatch.

How Many Times Have We Heard This???

He's not that good. It's easy to talk about his skill set, how fast his hands are, he has good power, he has all this bling and flash, but the bottom line, HE's never beaten anyone credible; he's beaten b/c level fighters to collect belts, had a narrow decision against Mags, many thought Mags won. And he took beatings and got schooled by Maidana & Porter, both A-level guys. His losses to those two guys weren't even close. Now he's back to fight another no-name for a belt of some sort. His path isn't much different than Brandon Rios. Media loves to talk about them, they both talk big trash, and neither has beaten anyone but tomato cans. So I expect Boner to come out and look good against a clown, hear him go gangster in the post fight like he's special, then get him aligned with another A-level, just to get beat down again. His DNA is all wrong. He doesn't have the intangibles to go along with physical skills. Head case, all about the money & bling, boast about his riches, plays the victim card often, etc and the list goes on and on. He's never beaten anyone!!!

He didn't stop at 140 he jumped straight to WW and took on a pre-Porter Paulie, a much better version than the one Garcia fought. And he took on Maidana, a guy none of the established WW was trying to fight, in only his second fight at WW. Then he dropped down to 140. Fought Porter at 144, another guy none of the established WW is trying to fight (save Brook). People complain about boxers not wanting to fight good fighters because they're more concerned about their 0. Broner ain't like that. He even tried to make a fight with Khan and Khan turned him down. At 135 Ricky Burns ducked him. Broner got more heart than most of y'all favorite boxer. Yea he talks a lot of **** but he's shown the heart of a champ getting up off his ass against a dangerous Maindana and finishing on his feet. Behind on the scorecards against Porter and almost getting the KO in the 12TH. I don't understand the hate for Broner but the love for Fury. A loud mouth bum who has done nothing and fought nobody. But people will swear it has nothing to do with race.
