Pacquiao should just move down to 140 and try to win a title there or become the lineal champ, why the catchweight? Pacquiao wasted a long time fighting unranked 147 pounders, catchweights and guys moving up from 140, why not fight at 140 or maybe 142 for a title?

Him fighting Mattysse at 144 for 140 lbs title is not much better than Cotto fighting Canelo at 155 for the 160 title.

This is all negotiating strategy by Arum. Pacquiao has everyone by the b@lls right now. No one knows who it's going to be. It's all about the money, whoever will give Pacquiao the largest share, that's who it's going to be.

you can't fight 144 for 140 title. it can be under not over.

pac was already lineal champ at 140.

no real need to move down to 140. the 140 guys move to 147 all the time.

he wouldn't be fighting at 144lbs for the 140lb title, the 140lb title can't be on the line if the weight is above the limit. completely different than canelo winning the 160 title at 155, as 155 is below 160. 144 is above 140.
