He didn't do it on HBO, PPV, or any valuable network space and he's not a multi-million dollar draw who couldn't use some extra. And no one sites that as a quality win.

    Seriously...who cares?
I got no problem with his activity, but if people are gonna say he is Floyd's heir apparent then you need a better schedule.. Floyd or manny would get crucified for the level of opponents roman has fought since 2012. And yeah chavez was fighting a lot of soft touches in Mexico to stay busy, but he was also fighting guys like mayweather, Rosario, Camacho, pernell, meldrick, Oscar... Roman hasn't fought anywhere that type of competition..
I'm all for roman being in p4p lists.. I have had him for the past 2 years or so, but like ggg, he doesn't have the major wins to put him top 3 p4p

Idiotic statement. Other then Floyd ever one of the next highest paid fighters and biggest stars in boxing are all signed to HBO. And look at ESPN's current top 10 pound for pound list. Everyone one except RIGONDEAUX is a HBO fighter

So many idiots claim he is p4p #1 yet 2 fights ago he was fighting a guy that was 34-28.. Can you imagine the backlash floyd or manny would take if they fought a guy with 28 losses. Lmao, idiots wanna crucify them for fighting Berto or rios, let alone a 28 loss guy..
And for the record, roman's best win since 2012 is a guy that 17-3-- Derek chisora level
Do you even understand what a pound for pound list is ? Please tell me who you have as #1

          Ward
          Rigo
          Kovolev
          Wlad

All those dudes have much better wins

With floyd retiring and manny getting old, I got roman at #5 now.. I rate him higher than guys like ggg and crawford, but until he win an Estrada rematch or inoue or nietas, then I can't have higher than 5.

Tim Bradley has fought a resume that is arguably better than roman's and has much better recent wins

You really said ward ? Lol dude hasnt fought in years and just beat a bum and u have him as #1 ?

Donaire was a good win for rigo but who else ? 1 divison ruler

Kovalev has 2 good wins but is a 1 divison champ

Wlad another 1 weak divison ruler

Roman is an unbeaten 3 divison champ with more than 2 good wins.p4p lists isnt just ur resume

Lmao. Typical same crap... Hate on Ward, for being inactive and fighting bums, but fail to critize roman for not fighting anyone world class since the Estrada fight in 2012, same time Ward was coming off the froch and dawson wins..

Rigo beat donaire in 2013, plus agebako is as good as anyone roman has beaten recently.. Agebako>>> yaegashi

Kovolev has 2 better wins which trump anything roman has done

Wlad a weak division champ, yet his wins over povetkin, haye trump anything roman has ever done..

You get sidetracked and amused that roman is an unbeaten 3 divison champ yet fail to realize his divisions are completely shallow.. Broner was an unbeaten 3 division champ, and you probably had him on your p4p list..
105-115 are some of the most shallowest divisions in boxing... And roman hasn't fought any of the best around there in over 3 years...
Estrada 2, nietas, onioue, uermarwrang (I'm sure my spelling is wrong) those are the fights at will prove roman's worth at being #1. Not beating guys like Fuentes and yaegashi...

Roman has 2 legit world class wins- tachayama and Estrada and both happened years ago...

How does roman's resume beat Tim Bradley's
              Marquez
              Peterson
              Vargas
              Alexander
              Witter
              Ruslan
              Holt

He'll even Bradley's win over ancient casamoyer is basically like roman beating rocky..

Roman's best win over the past 3 years is a career fighter that is 17-5-- yet you wanna discredit the stuff Ward, rigo, wlad, kovolev have done in the past 3 years.. It's just not right..

Plus roman's next big fight will be his first.. Everyone else has had bigtime showdowns in main events, roman is just now getting to fight the truly big fights.. Like I said, roman is probably # 5 but can't have him 1 or 2.. Him, Golovkin and crawford all need a marquee win to jump in front of guys like kovolev
