Thanks bro
...no research needed though, just off the top of my head...used to buy all the ring mags and almanacs from the late 90s until the mag went on the web...thank god for youtube I've had a chance to watch 90% of the greats and form my own opinion

Thanks bro....I made the Greatest/ Best list because even though some fighters are considered greater, I'd favor certain guys to beat them....you cant choose your era.
Even though SRR, Greb, and Langforde are greater resume-wise...Id favor Jones over all 3 from 154-175 and all these guys fought at 160 and higher. IMO Jones is to our era, what SRR looked like to guys in the 50s
Even though Henry Armstrong is considered greater, I'd favor Whitaker and Mayweather over him at 135-147 because they are naturally bigger and had the style that troubled him time 2.....Its too hard to pick someone over PBF and Whitaker 130-135 which may have been all their best weights of effectiveness and dominanace....Also even though Armstrong Maybe be considered greater I'd favor Pep over Amstrong at 126....Pep had trouble with guys who clinched and spoiled Like Angott and Saddler....Homicide Hank was more a buzzsaw who hardly clinched with great head movementLast edited by therealpugilist; 09-30-2015, 11:33 AM.Comment

This is actually pretty much my top five as well.
I'm not even one of those people obsessed with the past as I think fighters/athletes do evolve, but imo the best way to rank fighters is through their accomplishments and resumes.Comment
