I've only seen him fight once and I don't trust Floyd's eye for the talents of others. He was once extremely high on Wes Ferguson as well.

he beat an old ass Johnson, an old as hell Tarver and an ancient Hopkins...heck the only reason he won was because Bhop didn't have much activity and kept holding. It's easily one of the ugliest fights I have ever seen.

I'll give him the Adamek win but it's not like Adamek is an ATG or anything. Just a decent fighter is all.

Heck Floyd is always calling out black fighters as his heirs or guys associated with him ,he did the same thing with Jessie "one punch in 12" Vargas. Floyd isn't exactly the best judge of boxing talent imo.

As talented as Floyd is, when it comes to judging other talent he's not so great. He basically only chooses fighters that are associated with him, which makes sense, I guess, as he's trying to promote them.

Didn't Davis have beef with Tevin Farmer? I think Farmer beats him. They're in two different stages of their careers to be fair though.
Davis seems like an entertaining fighter.

He can see talent as others can,but what you can not see is heart, mental toughness and dedication..those things outweigh talent

People just look at how fast a fighter is how hard they can hit, defense etc etc..its more to that when building a fighter or any athlete...if people have watched the Tyson movie..Cus randomly comes into Tysons room and throws quotes at him, making him think, taking long walks and just talking to him...things like that build character, knowledge and mental toughness.you mold a athlete in many different ways and thats how you build greatness
