    With the recent retirement of Floyd Mayweather Jr., there existed a gaping hole atop the mythical pound-for-pound list, at least for those care about such rankings. The near-universal recognition has unbeaten World flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez receiving the proverbial torch, although the subject is wide open to debate.

    Mayweather (49-0, 26KOs) offered some suggestions of his own, naturally with his choices having some sort of ties to his own incredible career.

      Has anyone seen this guy? Keep hearing about him but looking at boxrec he hasn't really gone too many rounds or been tested.

        ring tv has his manager as al haymon and promoter as HAYMON boxing

        lol...im only for the ali act when fighters are being robbed..none of his guys are complaining..and i dont its on paper that way with haymon so w/e...

        he fights at 130...floyd is my boy, but javier would beat this youngin ass no doubt...javier could dominate that division if those japs open their fuggin eyes...salido and martinez would get beat to pulps as well

            I found this, nothing really stands out but it's too little to really measure how good he is.

              Yeah hard to tell. Plus, I don't know about Floyd's opinion re: the up and coming (See: Love, J'Leon).

              That said...I see why they like him. Does some veteran things in there.

                Saw a few of his fights has the tools but still hard to tell until he get out of prospect mode has power in both hands and a nasty uppercut

                  Yea Floyd is really high on him. Apparently he sparred Devon Haney and Haney beat him pretty good

                    like virgil and floyd told u last night...defensive/safety fighters dont exist...complete fighters is wat they are called..and it make your fist only fighter have to think and box...thats why it is called "boxing"...
