He's one of my faves, not sure where i rank him p4p though as most of these guys with the potential need to pull their finger out and prove their worth.

          Neither rofl

Why do either deserve #1 spot?

EDIT: Also I'd rate GGG > Ward P4P only because I feel like Ward needs to demonstrate that he's fighting at the level he was prior to his layoff or close to it by beating someone reasonably solid. Obviously there is no debate though that Ward's resume is way stronger than GGG's, but it's been a long time since Ward has had any fights of note.

Since 2010 almost 6 years lets look at the activity level here. Ward has fought ONLY 7 times vs GGG's 16 times.

2010 Ward fought 2 times - GGG fought 2 times

2011 Ward fought 2 times - GGG fought 2 times

2012 Ward fought 1 time - GGG fought 2 times

2013 Ward fought 1 time - GGG fought 4 times

2014 Ward fought 0 None - GGG fought 3 times

2015 Ward fought 1 time - GGG 2 times with bout pending 10/17/15

GGG KO'd every one his last 16 fights in 5 years

Ward TKO'd 2 in his last 7 fights in 5 years

            GGG>SOG P4P list

With that said...GGG over Ward in P4p spot. NEITHER should be #1 right now.

Neither deserve #1 as of now but GGG is the higher ranking guy in my opinion.

                    neither should be

ward has a way better case. better potential, better quality of wins and the more he fights, the more he'll distant himself from ggg in terms of rankings
