  • Froch: "because I look at the resumes"..."he wont be beaten throughout his career"

Well, he can't be too objective in this question since he got schooled by SOG.

But I agree with Froch, Ward wont be beaten, especially if he fights with this frequency and doesnt move up in weight.

However, if you want to talk about resumes, don't ever think Ward has a better resume in boxing than GGG, that's just ridiculous.

Nobody thinks that, we know he does.

      • He's right in the P4P question.

Golovkin's best win is Martin Murray. Call me conservative but I judge my P4P list based on resume not based on "eye tests" and Martin Murray - while he is a solid fighter - is not a big enough task to rocket someone into the top 10 P4P immediately. If somebody would say now that "You don't see how dominant Golovki in his weight class?" Yes I see, but again: Against who? Maximum B- or C level opponents, because his weight class is trash compared to many other weight classes.
If he beats the winner of Cotto vs Canelo then he will have all the right to be in P4P top 10 or probably even in top 5 because that's really a big win but till then ... Lemieux is a glorified brawler who was recently hyped up by DLH and HBO to achieve as big as possible viewership, he is not even on the same level as Murray, hell... Rubio ktfo him. What that says to you? I know he's improved since but not THAT much, he's still far from being an elite fighter or let alone a Murray level fighter,

Froch win > Golovkin's whole career
Abraham win > anything Golovkin did
Kessler win > Golovkin's whole career
Dawson win > anything Golovkin did

              • The opinion of these posters on GGG is set in stone. They cry "resumes" without consideration on HOW EXACTLY THE FIGHTS WENT. Therefore f**cking Berto in their view has "better resume". Of course he does, he wasn't considered that big of a threat and subsequently beaten by everyone good who was in the ring with him. But "Berto has a better resume". For a time being they will never give GGG credit on HOW he dismantles his competition. Let them have their day. We will wait and see, won't we. Hopkins had to wait a lot longer than GGG.

Deontay Wilder has dismantled all of his opposition and he's labeled a hypejob and a fraud, despite having actually beaten a current world champion (something Golovkin is yet to do). I'm not following your logic but if it's consistent, then Wilder is also a P4P talent, since he's beaten next to no one, but has the scalp of a world champion, and dominates pretty much all of his opponents.

WTF? I don't really like red k'in people for ****** posts, but this post right here is pushing it closer for me. You really think GGG resume is comparable to Ward? Wow you gullible groupies are taking this to the next level.

That's boxing for you, you have to do something against the better fights/names before you get credit, beating boybands and c- level opponents would only get you a minimal credit in the end, whilst GGG is a great fighter on paper his resume doesn't match up to the rating just because he hasn't really had the fighters he needs to get up there in his weight class. That's when challenging yourself comes into it, once he is done with 160 he can always move up to 168 where he would have better challenges.

Hopkins had to go through the same thing until he moved up and started taking on fighters in a higher weight class and winning.
